Concr builds a computer copy of an individual patient's cancer from their genetic, tissue and clinical data, and uses it to predict whether a given treatment is likely to work. It is testing those predictions in women with early triple-negative breast cancer.
Concr is a UK techbio company whose FarrSight platform applies Bayesian methods taken from astrophysics to molecular and clinical data to predict therapeutic response. FarrSight-Twin builds a digital twin of each patient from genomic data, whole-slide images and clinical data, and is offered to drug developers for trial simulation, biomarker discovery and response prediction. It was founded by Matthew Foster, Matthew Griffiths (chief technology officer) and Uzma Asghar, a medical oncologist, and is a Cambridge Enterprise Ventures portfolio company; Concr Ltd was incorporated in England in April 2018 and has an Australian subsidiary in Queensland. In July 2024 it began the observational VISION study (NCT06409221) at UK and Australian sites, with the Royal Marsden as the primary site, to test FarrSight-Twin's predictions of response to chemotherapy and pembrolizumab in early triple-negative breast cancer.
