Fulgent Genetics, Inc. is headquartered in El Monte, California, and listed on Nasdaq as FLGT; its annual report says it was founded in 2011. Its precision diagnostics business offers clinical tests for hereditary cancer among other areas. In 2022 it acquired Fulgent Pharma Holdings, whose therapeutic business develops cancer medicines on a nanoencapsulation and targeted therapy platform. FID-007 is nanoencapsulated paclitaxel, studied in head and neck, ampullary and pancreatic cancer; after a phase 1/1b trial, a randomised phase 2 trial with cetuximab in recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (NCT06332092) began enrolling in 2024. FID-022, nanoencapsulated SN38 with irinotecan in a polyethyloxazoline material, is in a phase 1 trial (NCT06694480). Its first cancer trial registered under the sponsor name Fulgent Pharma LLC., NCT06332092, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in March 2024.
