GeneMedicine is a South Korean company developing viruses that attack cancer cells. Its lead product, GM103, is injected into tumours and is in an early trial alone and with the immunotherapy pembrolizumab.
GeneMedicine Co., Ltd. is based at the Hanyang University Fusion Technology Center in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, and says it develops next-generation anticancer viruses. GM103 is given by intratumoural injection in the phase 1/2 trial NCT06265025, alone and with pembrolizumab, in locally advanced or metastatic solid tumours including head and neck, colorectal, melanoma, renal cell, cervical and breast cancers. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT06265025, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in February 2024.
