aka Gracell, 亘喆生物, NASDAQ:GRCL
Gracell Biotechnologies is the Chinese cell-therapy company that made CAR-T cells overnight with its FasTCAR process and built the BCMA and CD19 dual-targeting CAR-T GC012F, bought by AstraZeneca in 2024.
Overview
Gracell Biotechnologies developed the FasTCAR manufacturing platform, which shortens autologous CAR-T production to about one day and yields younger, less exhausted T cells, and the TruUCAR platform for allogeneic products. Its lead programme GC012F (now AZD0120) targets BCMA and CD19 together and has shown high rates of deep response in newly diagnosed and relapsed multiple myeloma, and activity in lupus. AstraZeneca completed its acquisition of Gracell in February 2024 for up to 1.2 billion dollars.
