Navidea Biopharmaceuticals, based in Dublin, Ohio and formerly Neoprobe, developed technetium Tc-99m tilmanocept (Lymphoseek), a receptor-targeted radiotracer that binds CD206 on macrophages in lymph nodes; the FDA approved it in 2013 for sentinel lymph node mapping in breast cancer and melanoma and in 2014 for oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma. The company sold North American rights to Cardinal Health in 2017 and later focused on macrophage imaging in rheumatoid arthritis; its listing was delisted in 2023. It appears on OnCo as a lead sponsor of phase 3 cancer trials on ClinicalTrials.gov.
