Nucleus RadioPharma
Nucleus RadioPharma does not make its own cancer drugs; it manufactures and ships radioactive cancer medicines for other companies, which is hard because the drugs decay within days. It is expanding its plants in Minnesota and Pennsylvania.
Overview
Nucleus RadioPharma is a Rochester, Minnesota contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) dedicated to targeted radiotherapies, offering formulation and analytical development, isotope-flexible supply chain, GMP manufacturing and regulatory support. Its Rochester facility can produce around 50,000 patient doses per year and a 47,000 square foot Spring House, Pennsylvania site is planned to open in 2028. Customers include Clarity Pharmaceuticals, with a commercial manufacturing agreement for 64Cu-SAR-bisPSMA signed in April 2026, and the company has a Thermo Fisher Scientific alliance and a BWXT Medical isotope supply agreement (June 2026). Former FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn became CEO in August 2025. In April 2026 the company secured USD 50 million from OrbiMed to expand manufacturing capacity; earlier backers listed in partner releases include Eclipse, Mayo Clinic, AstraZeneca and GE HealthCare.
