ProteinQure designs peptide medicines with computer models. Its lead medicine, PQ203, links a peptide to a cell-killing drug so that it is carried into cancer cells, and is in an early trial in advanced solid tumours including triple-negative breast cancer.
ProteinQure Inc. is a Toronto-based company that designs novel peptides with its ProteinStudio platform, which combines molecular simulation and custom AI models. PQ203 is a peptide-drug conjugate whose peptide binds the sortilin (SORT1) receptor, linked to the cytotoxic agent MMAE. The first patient was dosed in September 2025 in a three-part, first-in-human phase 1 trial (NCT07190469) in advanced solid tumours, including triple-negative breast cancer, led at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto with sites in Canada and the United States. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT07190469, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in September 2025.
