PTW Freiburg
PTW is the century-old German dosimetry company whose ionisation chambers, detector arrays and water phantoms are used in radiotherapy departments worldwide to measure the dose a machine really gives.
Overview
PTW Freiburg, founded in 1922, makes reference ionisation chambers, the OCTAVIUS 4D patient-specific QA system, BEAMSCAN water phantoms, in vivo diodes and electrometers, and runs an accredited calibration laboratory. It is one of three dominant radiotherapy QA vendors with Sun Nuclear (Mirion) and IBA Dosimetry.
