Radformation
Radformation makes software that automates the repetitive parts of planning radiotherapy, such as outlining organs on scans, checking plans for errors and verifying doses, so cancer patients can start treatment faster and more safely.
Overview
Radformation, founded in 2016 in New York by medical physicists Kurt Sysock, Alan Nelson and Elisabeth van Wie, builds automation software for radiation oncology. Products include AutoContour (deep learning auto segmentation with more than 480 structure models), EZFluence and OptiPlan (automated 3D and VMAT planning), ClearCheck (plan evaluation with more than 90 automated checks), ClearCalc and RadMonteCarlo (independent dose calculation), ChartCheck and ChartCheck Adaptive (treatment monitoring, FDA 510(k) cleared in February 2026), QuickCode and RadMachine. At its May 2024 acquisition of Limbus AI it cited more than 1,600 clinics in 28 countries; products hold MDR CE marking and clearances in Australia, Brazil, Canada and Thailand. Radformation raised a USD 1.6 million seed round led by Brooklyn Bridge Ventures in June 2018; no later funding round was found.
