Overview
SynDevRx develops evexomostat (SDX-7320), a polymer conjugate of a fumagillin-class methionine aminopeptidase 2 (MetAP2) inhibitor designed to avoid the neurotoxicity of earlier agents. MetAP2 inhibition reduces angiogenesis and improves insulin sensitivity, so the drug is being tested to prevent hyperglycaemia and weight gain in patients receiving alpelisib for PIK3CA-mutant breast cancer and in metabolically unhealthy patients with triple-negative breast cancer and prostate cancer.
