Binds to the Fc region of immunoglobulins gamma. Low affinity receptor. By binding to IgG it initiates cellular responses against pathogens and soluble antigens. Promotes phagocytosis of opsonised antigens. Location: Cell membrane (UniProt). Locus 1q23.3 (HGNC).
