The MET protein stain that selects people with lung cancer for telisotuzumab vedotin.
Ventana Medical Systems' (Roche Tissue Diagnostics) MET (SP44) RxDx Assay was approved on 14 May 2025 (PMA P240037) as the companion diagnostic for telisotuzumab vedotin in non-small-cell lung cancer with high MET protein expression. It measures protein, not a MET gene change, so it selects a different group from tests for MET exon 14 skipping.
Immunohistochemistry with the SP44 antibody; the FDA list defines the selecting result as at least 50% of tumour cells with strong (3+) membrane and/or cytoplasmic staining. Connects to MET.
