Carilion Clinic is a not-for-profit health system serving south-west Virginia from Roanoke, and with Virginia Tech runs the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Its paediatric haematology-oncology service at Carilion Children's is led by Kimberly Dunsmore, who chaired the Children's Oncology Group trial AALL0434, the largest trial ever run in childhood T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, whose 2020 report established the addition of nelarabine.
