A patient-founded charity for chordoma, a rare bone cancer of the skull base and spine: it funds research and helps patients reach expert doctors, trials and guidelines.
The Chordoma Foundation was started in 2007 by a handful of families affected by chordoma who judged that the options available to them were not acceptable, according to its own story page. It describes progress built since then by patients, families, researchers and doctors together, including clinical trials, treatment guidelines and access to the knowledge of fellow patients and leading doctors, and says it invests in three mutually reinforcing areas toward a future in which everyone with chordoma can overcome it. Its sights are set on treatments that prevent recurrence, eliminate tumours and preserve quality of life. The IRS record lists it in Durham, North Carolina. The IRS Business Master File lists revenue of about $13 million for the tax year ending December 2025.
