Overview
The Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires was founded in 1853 by the Italian community and is today a university hospital with its own Instituto Universitario. Its oncology services span medical oncology, haematology and transplantation, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, nuclear medicine and palliative care, supported by one of the region's most developed electronic health record and research infrastructures. The hospital is a major Argentine site for international oncology trials, runs a hereditary cancer programme and a precision oncology unit, and trains oncologists through its residency and fellowship programmes.
