A Mumbai charity that publishes plain-language booklets on cancers and their treatment in several Indian languages, so patients and families can make informed decisions.
JASCAP was founded by Neera and Prabhakar Rao after their only son, Satyajit, died of T-cell lymphoma. For more than two decades it has produced booklets on different cancers and their management for patients and carers, in leading Indian languages, under the motto that any patient with any cancer should have access to information. Its people also work on communication and psycho-oncology in advanced cancer and end-of-life care for children, adolescents and adults.
