Overview
The Ospedali Galliera is a public hospital in the centre of Genoa. Its Division of Medical Oncology, led by Andrea DeCensi, has specialised in breast cancer prevention and low-dose drug strategies, coordinating TAM-01, the Italian randomised trial reported in the Journal of Clinical Oncology in 2019 in which tamoxifen at 5 mg a day reduced recurrence and new breast cancers after ductal carcinoma in situ and other non-invasive lesions.
