Its site describes it as the centre for cancer in the Shikoku region, working with the national centre to provide advanced specialist care, clinical research, training and information, and as the centre of cancer genomic medicine cooperation in Shikoku; it lists itself as a cancer genomic medicine hub hospital (がんゲノム医療拠点病院). It runs a clinical research centre and a patient and family support centre. Its English page was marked as in preparation when read.
