The Swiss Cancer Research foundation is a non-profit foundation based in Bern that has funded all areas of cancer research with donations since 1991, with particular weight on research close to patients. It funds only industry-independent projects at Swiss universities and hospitals; its board allocates the money on the recommendations of a Scientific Committee (Wissenschaftliche Kommission) that reviews every application against defined criteria. Its news page of 18 June 2026 reported new projects approved worth about CHF 12.2 million.
