A global not-for-profit coalition, started in 2016, that unites ovarian cancer patient organisations and gathers evidence from women's experience to improve diagnosis and care.
The World Ovarian Cancer Coalition describes itself as the only global not-for-profit organisation dedicated exclusively to ovarian cancer and says that since 2016 it has united more than 200 patient advocacy organisations. It gathers evidence from women's experience, including the Every Woman Study and research on the socioeconomic burden of ovarian cancer, and runs Project PROTECT, a framework to reduce ovarian cancer deaths. It is a Canadian not-for-profit corporation (incorporated 16 March 2016) with its registered office in Toronto.
