A US prostate cancer charity, founded in 1996, offering education, support groups and help for patients, and campaigning for research funding and early detection.
ZERO Prostate Cancer was founded in 1996 as the National Prostate Cancer Coalition, according to its story page, and works through advocacy, education, awareness and support. It says it brought survivors' testimony to Congress and spearheaded the Department of Defense's Prostate Cancer Research Program, and that it now works on health equity, including the higher risk of prostate cancer among Black men. In 2021 it merged with Us TOO International, the first US prostate cancer support group network, begun in 1990 when the Chicago urologist Gerald Chodak met five patients, which grew to more than 200 support groups. The IRS Business Master File lists revenue of about $10 million for the tax year ending March 2025.
