Overview
Klinická onkologie is the journal of the Czech Society of Oncology and the Slovak Oncology Society, published six times a year by the Czech Medical Association of J. E. Purkyně with Care Comm s.r.o. as publishing house; its editorial office is at the Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute in Brno. The journal describes itself as a supranational professional journal covering oncology in its full breadth, aiming to publish original and review papers reporting basic and, above all, clinical research and so help improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer in a central European region with high cancer incidence. It also carries case reports, short communications, letters and discussion, in Czech, Slovak and English, and all contributions other than news, discussion and letters undergo external peer review. The online edition appears two months after print. NLM records the journal as starting in 1988 and currently indexed in MEDLINE.
