Strahlentherapie und Onkologie describes itself as a monthly scientific journal covering all aspects of oncology with a focus on radio-oncology, radiation biology and radiation physics. It publishes peer-reviewed original articles, review articles, case studies and short communications, plus an annotated literature review. Founded in 1912, it calls itself the oldest oncological journal in the world; the current title dates from 1986 (NLM Catalog) and contributions are now published in English. It is the official publication of several radio-oncological societies (the NLM title names the Deutsche Röntgengesellschaft).
