DESTINY-Lung01: trastuzumab deruxtecan in HER2-mutant non-small-cell lung cancer
Trastuzumab deruxtecan shrank tumours in more than half of patients with previously treated HER2-mutant lung cancer, a driver with no approved therapy until this study, though lung inflammation was a serious side effect.
Overview
Phase 2 study of 91 patients with previously treated HER2-mutant metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer treated with trastuzumab deruxtecan 6.4 mg/kg.
Objective response was 55 percent with median duration of response 9.3 months, median progression-free survival 8.2 months and median overall survival 17.8 months; drug-related interstitial lung disease occurred in 26 percent with two deaths.
