Charles M. Rudin
Defined the molecular subtypes of small-cell lung cancer and led early trials of DLL3-targeted therapy.
Overview
Charles Rudin led the consensus that split small-cell lung cancer into ASCL1, NEUROD1, POU2F3 and inflamed subtypes, giving the disease its first biology-based classification. He was a lead investigator of the rovalpituzumab tesirine and tarlatamab DLL3 programmes and of KEYNOTE-604. His laboratory studies SCLC plasticity and lineage transformation of EGFR-mutant lung cancer.
