Overview
Luis Paz-Ares heads the H12O-CNIO Lung Cancer Clinical Research Unit, a joint unit of Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre and the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO), and leads medical oncology at 12 de Octubre. He was first author of the KEYNOTE-407 trial that established pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy as first-line treatment for squamous non-small-cell lung cancer. His work spans thoracic oncology and early-phase drug development.
