ADRA1D
ADRA1D (Alpha-1D adrenergic receptor) is a gene. The public catalogues list it as a drug target, and an approved or late-stage drug is recorded against it. Tied to Neuroendocrine tumours.
Overview
Alpha-1 adrenergic receptors are G protein-coupled receptors for catecholamines that signal through the G(q) family of G proteins, including G(q) and G(11). Upon activation, they stimulate the phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger pathway, leading to calcium release from intracellular stores and activation of protein kinase C. ADRA1D binds the catecholamine ligands norepinephrine and epinephrine.
Open Targets scores its association with cancer at 0.54 (direct and indirect evidence; datatypes literature 0.29, animal model 0.26, genetic association 0.00, clinical 0.86).
