The National Navigation Roundtable is a coalition led by the American Cancer Society that sets standards for patient navigation programmes so more people get help through cancer care.
The American Cancer Society serves as the backbone of the National Navigation Roundtable, which it describes as a collaboration that advances patient navigation efforts to eliminate barriers to quality care, reduce disparities in health outcomes and foster health equity across the cancer continuum. It publishes standards for navigation programmes covering clinical oncology nurse navigators, social work navigators and patient navigators, an implementation guide and a resource centre, surveys members on navigation reimbursement, and launched 2026 to 2029 Strategic Roadmap Priority Teams.
