AONN+ is the professional society for cancer nurse navigators and patient navigators in the US; it trains and certifies the people who guide patients through care.
The Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) describes its focus as developing a local and regional network of navigators to support communication and education among peers and improve patient outcomes and survivorship. It runs annual and midyear conferences, national committees (including clinical trials, survivorship and genetics and genomics), toolkits, continuing education and Local Navigator Networks. A separate legal entity, the AONN+ Foundation for Learning, oversees the Oncology Nurse Navigator-Certified Generalist (ONN-CG) and Oncology Patient Navigator-Certified Generalist (OPN-CG) exams.
