Careology
Careology is an app that helps people going through cancer treatment log symptoms, medicines and appointments, and a dashboard that lets their hospital team see problems early.
Overview
Careology is a London based digital cancer care platform founded by Paul Landau. Patients use the app to record symptoms, temperature, medication and wellbeing, and clinical teams monitor a dashboard that flags deterioration for proactive intervention. UK deployments include Guy's and St Thomas' and Airedale NHS Foundation Trusts, Nuffield Health, LloydsPharmacy Clinical Homecare, Aviva and a Macmillan Cancer Support partnership. In the United States, Evolent integrated Careology into its cancer navigation services from 2024 for Florida Blue and American Oncology Network patients, and Oncology Hematology Care uses it to monitor CAR-T patients. The company reports a 17 fold return on investment from avoided admissions and 96 percent of clinicians saying it informed consultations. Careology raised GBP 1.12 million from angel investors in November 2019; later funding was not sourced.

Notes
top- Founding year: the seed release (2019) says the platform launched earlier in 2019 while the About page says the app launched January 2020; 2019 used. London HQ is inferred from the About page text (London appears three times) rather than a stated address. Note that Evolent also uses 'Careology' as the name of its own navigation platform in an AON release.
