Cartography Biosciences searches huge maps of single human cells for proteins found only on cancer cells, then builds antibody medicines that steer immune T cells to them; its first drug is in an early trial in bowel cancer.
Cartography Biosciences, based in South San Francisco and founded by Kevin Parker, Ansu Satpathy and Howard Chang, uses two platforms, ATLAS and SUMMIT, which apply machine learning to single-cell data from healthy and tumour tissue to find targets and target combinations specific to cancer cells. CBI-1214, a T cell engager against an undisclosed novel target, received FDA IND clearance and Fast Track designation in December 2025 and dosed its first patient in a phase 1 trial in microsatellite-stable or MSI-low metastatic colorectal cancer in February 2026 (NCT07321106). CB02 is a preclinical T cell engager, and discovery programmes include logic-gated approaches. It has discovery collaborations with Gilead (announced May 2024; first target option exercised April 2026) and Pfizer (January 2026). Its first registered cancer trial, NCT07321106, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in January 2026.
