Chimigen Bio makes off-the-shelf treatment vaccines that deliver pieces of a tumour protein straight to the immune cells that start an immune response. Its prostate cancer vaccine, KMV002, began an early trial in 2026 for advanced prostate cancer that no longer responds to hormone treatment.
Chimigen Biomedical (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. (凯米生物), in Tianfu International Bio-Town, Chengdu, China, was founded in June 2021, according to the company, and runs a US subsidiary, ChimiVac, in New York, which sponsors its US trial. Its SynNeogen platform uses an Fc fusion design to deliver multi-epitope payloads directly to dendritic cells to activate CD4 and CD8 T cells, which the company calls immune priming therapy. The lead cancer product KMV002 (IPT-PAP), a vaccine against prostatic acid phosphatase for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer, received FDA IND clearance in July 2026, entered an early-phase clinical trial in September 2026 and received FDA Fast Track designation in October 2026, according to the company. A second product, SN2001, is in a phase 1 study in Australia for chronic hepatitis B, and the pipeline lists HBV-positive liver cancer and undisclosed programmes in triple-negative breast and digestive cancers. Its first-ever registry study, NCT07059403, posted in July 2025, is not a cancer study as far as the registry data read show; its first registered cancer trial, NCT07866300 (KMV002), was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in October 2026. The company states it has closed about USD 40 million in financing, including a Pre-Series A round of more than RMB 100 million listed among its 2025 milestones.
