ConjuStar Biologics is a Chinese company making small drug conjugates, a short peptide or a tiny antibody fragment that carries a cancer-killing drug, designed to penetrate tumours more easily than full-size antibody drugs. Its lead medicine targets Nectin-4.
Tianjin ConjuStar Biologics Co., Ltd. (Conjustar), located in the Tianjin Airport Free Trade Zone with an office in Pudong, Shanghai, was founded on 21 February 2022, according to the company, and was jointly incubated by Fosun Health Capital and WuXi AppTec. It develops miniaturised conjugates, peptide-drug conjugates (PDCs) and nanobody-drug conjugates (NDCs). SC-101 is a Nectin-4-targeting PDC whose dose-escalation results were presented at ESMO 2025, and SC-102, an EphA2-targeting PDC, received FDA clearance of its investigational new drug application. The company states it has raised approximately USD 50 million to advance five oncology programmes. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT06220838, a phase 1 study of SC-101 in advanced or metastatic Nectin-4-expressing solid tumours, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in January 2024; a phase 1 study of SC-102 in EphA2-expressing solid tumours followed in November 2024 (NCT06710158), and a phase 2a study of SC-101 in cancers with NECTIN4 gene amplification, listing triple-negative and HR-positive breast cancer, in July 2025 (NCT07080619).
Shares Peptide-drug & small-molecule-drug conjugates, Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), HR-positive / HER2-negative breast cancer.
