Damora Therapeutics is developing antibody injections that target the faulty calreticulin protein that drives some blood cancers called myeloproliferative neoplasms, aiming to treat the cause of the disease rather than its symptoms.
Damora Therapeutics develops subcutaneous biologics for myeloproliferative neoplasms driven by mutant calreticulin (mutCALR), which the company says causes about 25 per cent of essential thrombocythaemia and 35 per cent of myelofibrosis cases. Its lead asset DMR-001 is a monoclonal antibody designed to bind only mutant calreticulin, with an extended half-life intended to allow infrequent dosing. Its leadership includes former Blueprint Medicines executives, among them chief medical officer Becker Hewes. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT07849231, a phase 1/1b study of mutant calreticulin-targeted antibodies alone or with ruxolitinib in CALR-mutant myeloproliferative neoplasms at US sites, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in September 2026.
