Fushi Biotechnology makes small-molecule tablet drugs found by building them up from tiny chemical fragments. Its first cancer drug, FS-207, blocks WRN, a DNA-unwinding enzyme that tumours with a particular DNA repair defect (MSI-high) depend on, and is starting early trials in China.
Jiangsu Fushi Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (福石生物), which registered its cancer trial as Foresight Therapeutics (Hefei) Co., Ltd., is based in the Jiangbei New Area of Nanjing with offices in Hefei and Shanghai. It was co-founded by He Wei, Li Yadong and Liu Lei of the Tsinghua University School of Pharmacy, Ruan Ke of the University of Science and Technology of China and Xia Chuanjun, and uses a multimodal fragment-based drug discovery platform to make first-in-class small molecules. Its lead oncology candidate FS-207 is an oral, selective inhibitor of the WRN helicase for MSI-high advanced solid tumours; the company says it received implied clinical trial approval from China's NMPA in April 2026. The pipeline also lists FS-X2 against PKMYT1 for solid tumours the site lists as CCEN1-positive (presumably CCNE1) and non-oncology programmes. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT07593144, a phase 1a/1b study of FS-207 in MSI-high advanced solid tumours, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in May 2026. The company reports an angel round of RMB 100 million from domestic institutions.
