GV states 'EST. 2009' on its homepage and invests Alphabet's capital across AI, healthcare, dev tools and infrastructure, from seed to growth. It says it has 'partnered with 20 AI healthcare companies, including insitro and Isomorphic Labs', and operates independently of Google's business units. Its portfolio page (exits marked with an asterisk) is dense with oncology: Foundation Medicine, Flatiron Health, Grail, Freenome, Forty Seven (CD47 antibody, acquired by Gilead), Gritstone Bio, Arcus Biosciences, Accent Therapeutics, Ideaya Biosciences, IconOVir Bio, Owkin and Oxford Science Enterprises, alongside genomics platforms such as Editas and Beam.
