IDEAYA Biosciences develops cancer drugs matched to the genetic make-up of a patient's tumour. Its most advanced drug, darovasertib, is in late-stage trials for a rare eye cancer called uveal melanoma.

IDEAYA Biosciences is a South San Francisco precision oncology company working on synthetic lethality, metabolic and epigenetic tumour dependencies. Its lead programme, darovasertib (a PKC inhibitor), is in phase 3 registrational trials in metastatic uveal melanoma and, with crizotinib, as adjuvant therapy in primary uveal melanoma (the OptimUM-11 trial with Servier dosed its first patient in September 2026), plus phase 2 studies in GNAQ/11-mutant tumours. Other programmes include IDE849, a DLL3-directed topoisomerase 1 antibody-drug conjugate in phase 1/2 for small cell lung cancer, for which the company reported FDA agreement on a phase 3 design in August 2026; IDE034 (B7H3/PTK7 ADC); IDE161 (PARG inhibitor); IDE397 (MAT2A inhibitor, phase 2) and IDE892 (PRMT5) for MTAP-deleted cancers; and IDE574 (KAT6/7). IDEAYA listed on Nasdaq in May 2019, raising 57.5 million US dollars gross in its IPO.
