ImmunoGen, Inc. (formerly Nasdaq: IMGN), of Waltham, Massachusetts, developed antibody-drug conjugates. Its lead product, ELAHERE (mirvetuximab soravtansine-gynx), is a folate receptor alpha-directed ADC approved for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. Its pipeline at the time of sale included IMGN-151, a phase 1 next-generation folate receptor alpha ADC, and pivekimab sunirine, a phase 2 CD123-directed ADC for blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm, a rare blood cancer, with FDA Breakthrough Therapy designation in the relapsed or refractory setting. AbbVie agreed on 30 November 2023 to acquire ImmunoGen for USD 31.26 per share in cash, a total equity value of about USD 10.1 billion, and the merger was completed on 12 February 2024.
