The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation was founded in 1998 by Kathy Giusti and Karen Andrews after Kathy's myeloma diagnosis and is based in Norwalk, Connecticut (Wikipedia). Its site states its mission as 'Accelerating a Cure for Multiple Myeloma' through funding novel therapies, personalised treatment approaches and patient support. The Myeloma Investment Fund (MIF) 'is a venture philanthropy fund that invests in promising companies, clinical assets, and technologies in oncology to drive the development of new therapies for multiple myeloma'; it is 'supported entirely by philanthropy' and 'all profits will be reinvested back into research'. Its portfolio page lists Abcuro (immunomodulatory antibodies), Coding Bio (machine-learning-designed immunotherapies, Oxford) and CytoImmune Therapeutics (CAR-NK cell therapy), and an MMRF release describes its investment in Reverb Therapeutics' Amplifier cytokine platform for myeloma.
