NuclearMediX is an Imperial College London spin-out making a PET scan tracer that shows neuroendocrine tumours and can be produced on simple single-use cassettes. It is also working on radioactive treatments.
NuclearMediX Limited was incorporated in England on 13 December 2024 to commercialise research from Professor Eric Aboagye's lab at Imperial College London; Aboagye and Dr Ruisi Fu (managing director) are co-founders. Its lead product, NMX-001A (FETO, [18F]FET-βAG-TOCA), is a fluorine-18 PET tracer targeting somatostatin receptor 2 (SSTR2), which the company lists as phase 2 completed, with an initial focus on neuroendocrine tumours. It is designed to be made on single-use, automation-ready cassettes for multi-site production, and the platform also lists astatine-211 (alpha) and terbium-161 (Auger electron) therapeutic programmes. The company reports completing Innovate UK's ICURe programme with a GBP 300,000 grant (2024 to 2026) and a UK production partnership near the Cambridge Biomedical Campus (March 2026).
