Nuclide Therapeutics is a UK start-up developing radioactive drugs for cancers that have stopped responding to other treatments. Its lead medicine carries radioactive iodine and was moving towards first human trials in 2026.
Nuclide Therapeutics is a UK company co-founded by Muhammet Tanç (CEO), Tim Witney (CSO), Sofia Santos (COO) and Richard Edwards (CTO), developing targeted radiotheranostics for therapy-resistant solid tumours. Its lead therapeutic, NTx-11, is labelled with iodine-131. The company announced a GBP 5 million investment in September 2025 to fund first-in-human trials, and an October 2025 release describes it as a milestone-based first investment round funded by Marathon Beteiligungs AG. Its pipeline lists NTx-010, NTx-011 and NTx-043 across diagnostic and therapeutic uses, from discovery to phase 0/1. In 2026 it announced a discovery collaboration using Enamine's platform and a co-development agreement with pharmAI, and Chemical & Engineering News named it one of ten start-ups to watch.
