OncoSTING is developing OS-151, a modified form of the BCG bladder treatment that also releases a strong immune-activating molecule, for bladder cancer. It is in laboratory testing.
OncoSTING develops recombinant BCG immunotherapies engineered for sustained release of STING agonists. Its lead, OS-151, is a second-generation BCG that produces high levels of a STING agonist while keeping the activity of traditional BCG, aimed at non-muscle invasive bladder cancer and, as an intratumoral therapy, other solid tumours; the company reports it was more effective and better tolerated than traditional BCG in preclinical models. In fiscal year 2026 NCI awarded it USD 1,030,215 under SBIR award 1R44CA310037-01 for STING agonist-expressing BCG in bladder cancer.
