Repare Therapeutics
Repare Therapeutics was a Montreal cancer drug developer working on drugs that stop tumours repairing their own DNA. In January 2026 it was bought by a non-profit called XenoTherapeutics and its shares stopped trading.
Overview
Repare Therapeutics was a clinical-stage precision oncology company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Montreal, focused on synthetic lethal targets in the DNA damage response. Its portfolio included camonsertib (RP-3500, an ATR inhibitor), lunresertib (RP-6306, a PKMYT1 inhibitor), RP-1664 (PLK4) and RP-3467 (Pol theta), with partnerships involving Bristol Myers Squibb, Debiopharm and DCx Biotherapeutics. After a strategic review, Repare agreed in November 2025 to be acquired by XenoTherapeutics, Inc., a non-profit biotechnology company, by way of a plan of arrangement. Shareholders approved the deal on 16 January 2026 and it completed on 28 January 2026, with holders receiving about 2.20 US dollars per share plus a contingent value right tied to future partnership and licensing proceeds. The company then delisted from Nasdaq and filed to deregister in February 2026.
