SOTIO Biotech
SOTIO is a Prague biotechnology company owned by the PPF group whose dendritic cell vaccine for prostate cancer failed its phase 3 trial in 2020, and which now develops an IL-15 superagonist and antibody-drug conjugates.
Overview
SOTIO Biotech, part of the PPF Group, ran the phase 3 VIABLE trial of DCVAC/PCa, an autologous dendritic cell immunotherapy added to docetaxel in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer, which did not improve survival when reported in 2020. Its pipeline now centres on nanrilkefusp alfa (SOT101), an IL-15 receptor superagonist tested with pembrolizumab, and antibody-drug conjugates from its BOXR and other platforms. It appears on OnCo as a lead sponsor of phase 3 cancer trials on ClinicalTrials.gov.
