Trevarx Biomedical is a Philadelphia company attaching a radioactive atom to a PARP inhibitor so that radiation is released right at a tumour cell's DNA. Its first drug, AlphaPARP, is being prepared for ovarian cancer.
Trevarx Biomedical, Inc. is building a DNA-directed alpha radiopharmaceutical platform. Its first therapeutic, AlphaPARP, is astatine-211 attached to a PARP inhibitor backbone (Parthanatine), designed to bind activated PARP1 at sites of tumour DNA damage so that alpha energy is deposited next to the DNA; the company says it is seeking a USD 35 million Series A. A 2026 National Cancer Institute SBIR award funds preparation for a phase 1 IND of the agent in ovarian cancer, and the award abstract describes a companion PET imaging agent that binds the same target for patient selection.
