Tyra Biosciences designs precise pills against a family of growth-signal proteins called FGFRs, which are faulty in some bladder, liver and bile duct cancers and in a bone growth disorder.
Overview
Tyra Biosciences is a Carlsbad, California company developing next-generation FGFR inhibitors designed to avoid resistance mutations and to spare related kinases. Its lead candidate, dabogratinib (TYRA-300), is an FGFR3-selective inhibitor in clinical development for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer and low-grade upper tract urothelial cancer, and in the phase 2 BEACH301 study in achondroplasia. TYRA-430 (FGFR4/3) is in the phase 1 SURF431 study in advanced hepatocellular carcinoma and other solid tumours, and TYRA-200 (FGFR1/2/3) is in the phase 1 SURF201 study in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and other FGFR2-altered tumours. Tyra completed its Nasdaq IPO in September 2021, raising 198.7 million US dollars gross.
