Vittoria Biotherapeutics makes CAR-T cell therapy, a patient's own immune cells engineered to attack cancer, for T-cell lymphoma, a cancer of the same kind of cell that CAR-T is made from. Its first product, VIPER-101, is in an early trial.
Vittoria Biotherapeutics, Inc., at 3675 Market Street, Philadelphia, is a clinical-stage company whose Senza5 platform modulates CD5 signalling and uses a five-day manufacturing process for autologous CAR-T cells. Its lead product VIPER-101 (Senza5 CART5) is a gene-edited, autologous, dual-population CD5-directed CAR-T in which CD5 is deleted from the engineered cells; an open-label phase 1 study with the University of Pennsylvania in T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NCT06420089) dosed its first patient in December 2024. Further programmes VIPER-102 and VIPER-103 are listed. The chief executive and co-founder is Nicholas Siciliano. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT06420089, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in May 2024.
