Zhejiang Wenda Pharma makes a tablet that blocks BET proteins, which some cancers need to keep the MYC growth gene switched on; it is being tested in NUT carcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer.
Zhejiang Wenda Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (浙江文达医药), based in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, was founded in 2013 according to the company and develops new drugs for cancer and autoimmune disease. Its oncology lead NHWD-870 (zepubresib) is a BET inhibitor, which the company says dissociates BRD4 from the MYC enhancer and lowers MYC expression; a phase 2 single-arm study is testing it in adults and adolescents with advanced NUT carcinoma (NCT06527300), and the pipeline also lists lung squamous cell carcinoma with NSD3 alterations. WD-890, a TYK2 inhibitor, is in development for psoriasis and lupus, and WD-930 and WD-940 are listed as cancer programmes. Its first registry study, NCT06506591 (posted July 2024), is a healthy-volunteer study of WD-890 and not a cancer trial; its first registered cancer trial, NCT06527300, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in July 2024.
