Biology
Clathrin is the major protein of the polyhedral coat of coated pits and vesicles. Two different adapter protein complexes link the clathrin lattice either to the plasma membrane or to the trans-Golgi network. Location: Cytoplasmic vesicle membrane; Membrane, coated pit (UniProt).
