Berry Oncology's blood test for six cancers common in China, launched in 2022; its accuracy figures are the company's own and no peer-reviewed multi-cancer paper was found.
Berry Oncology, of Beijing, announced on 23 June 2022 the launch of HIFI Pan-Cancer Screening, a one-time screening product for lung, oesophageal, gastric, liver, pancreatic and colorectal cancer, which it describes as the first multi-cancer screening product built on whole-genome sequencing of cell-free DNA. Its figures, first given in a company release of 13 October 2021 without sample sizes, are 87.6% sensitivity, 99.1% specificity and tissue of origin correct in 82% of positive cancers, with 69.6% sensitivity at stage I and 92.9% at stage II. These are company statements: no peer-reviewed paper reporting them was found (Berry Oncology's published cell-free DNA work found by this census is on single cancers: liver, pancreatic, oesophageal and nasopharyngeal). No NMPA registration, current availability or price was found.
